The
community-based, independent K-8 school houses
130 students in a 23,000 s.f. facility. Sandis
provided the design team with both surveying
and civil engineering services. Surveying services
included boundary and topographic surveying
and construction staking. Engineering services
included the preparation of a horizontal control
plan; on and off-site grading and drainage and
on-site water; storm and sanitary sewer plans;
on-site storm drainage calculations; specifications;
engineers construction cost estimate; and the
provision of construction administration services.
The site design included a bio-swale for parking
lot drainage and a raised cross-walk to link
the school across Terman Drive.
