SANDIS provided engineering services for the development of a $17.5 million academic building that replaces 12 portables with 12 permanent classrooms and a multi-purpose room that serves as an auditorium and cafeteria and improvements to the play yard. The two story, Tudor style building now houses the kindergarten, first grade and second grade classes. Engineering services included the preparation of: site demolition notes and/or plans for Increments 1 and 2 civil plans; grading and drainage plan; storm, sanitary sewer and domestic water systems plans; technical specifications; horizontal control plan; construction notes and details; NPDES – SWPPP documentation; and record documents. During the final phase of the project, we provided bidding assistance and construction administration services. This project required extensive coordination with the Oakland Unified School District and involved CHPS documentation.
