Martial Cottle Park

SANDIS managed a multi-discipline team consisting of civil engineers, land surveyors, landscape architects, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineers, environmental engineers, geotechnical engineers, and structural engineers as well as crop consultants and biologists. The project consisted of the development of a 287-acre park that is jointly owned by the California State Park System and the County of Santa Clara. Approximately 250 acres that remain agricultural use and the remaining acreage is used to create a “park core”. The core celebrates the agricultural heritage of the valley and provide educational interpretive programs. Extensive off-site improvements for this project were preformed by SANDIS, which include widening Snell Avenue, a new traffic signal, and a HAWK crossing system.
