We are delighted to welcome Bruce back to Sandis after a 25 year hiatus. With over 30 years of experience, Bruce is an accomplished land surveyor with a diverse portfolio of work. For the last 15 years, he served as the City and County of San Francisco Surveyor. There he led the development of a high precision network that created a coordinate system for the entire City which is one of the best networks of its kind in the country and the world. His project experience includes a survey of the County line between San Francisco and San Mateo that had not been surveyed since 1889; a survey of the west line of the City by the Great Highway and by Ocean Beach that jurisdictionally falls under the Golden Gate National Recreation Area; 36 ALTAs of the Transbay Transit project and many more noteworthy projects. In Bruce’s time, he reviewed, stamped and signed over 5000 parcel maps, final maps, and records of survey. In addition, Bruce successfully ran his own survey firm, Storrs Land Surveying, from 1999-2005, extending his experience throughout Northern California.
Of all of his accomplishments, Bruce notes that the success of these projects only came with the highly qualified support of survey staff and consultants that drove these projects forward.
Born in Missoula, Montana, and raised in the East Bay and the Monterey Peninsula, Bruce developed a love for the water. He is an avid sailor and has enjoyed living on boats in both Emeryville and Alameda. He is also a prolific reader and plans to join the Sandis book club.
We look forward to continuing to provide excellent surveying services to our clients and partners with Bruce onboard. Please join us in welcoming Bruce Storrs back to Sandis. To reach Bruce for any surveying needs, please contact him at 408.508.7533 or bstorrs@sandis.net.
