Apple selected SANDIS as the off-site traffic engineer responsible for 176 acres of the new Apple Campus. Planning to house over 13,000 employees, SANDIS worked diligently to analyze and address ingress/egress and the possible traffic impacts of the new campus.
Sandis coordinated with public and private entities, including Caltrans, the City of Cupertino, City of Santa Clara, City of San Jose, VTA, Santa Clara Valley Water District, and County of Santa Clara.
Boundary and easement verification and supplemental topographic survey for exclusive eastbound through lane (one shared left-turn /through lane, one through lane, and one right turn lane), a new retaining wall (along I-280), and the widening of an existing bridge that crosses the creek).

SANDIS has an on-call agreement with the City of Palo Alto to provide a range of civil and traffic engineering services including: Roadway and Pavement Design, Intersection/Signal Design, Parking Occupancy Studies, Parking Duration Studies, Assistance with Parking Permit Program implementation, signing/striping plans, traffic signal and stop sign warrant analyses.
This project will quickly build the City’s bicycle network by linking schools, parks, and job centers and establishing high-quality facilities to attract additional ridership within the community. SANDIS met project design timelines and completed the work on time.
