This project was part of a larger campus-wide infrastructure project and included pavement and parking, signage and striping, stormwater, domestic water, and steam and chilled water along with electrical and telecom. Sandis was the prime consultant and worked directly for Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) from early design planning through permitting and construction. Sandis provided a number of utility locating, mapping and planning services for SCVMC throughout the lifetime of the project.
As this medical campus is a critical facility with OSHPD oversight, there was careful attention paid to existing systems, existing operations, and emergency functions. The project consisted of construction in three phases to align with other campus projects.
