Sandis provided civil engineering and surveying services to the San Lorenzo Valley Water District (SLVWD) on their Blue Ridge Water Tank project. Standing at 32+ feet tall with a diameter of nearly 30 feet, the 120,000-gallon bolted steel tank triples water storage capacity in the area north of Boulder Creek, supporting vital firefighting efforts and safe drinking water in this high-risk region. This is a major upgrade from the aging and undersized redwood water tank that this $887,745 project replaced.
In addition, this project in the Santa Cruz Mountains is part of the District’s 2021 Capital Improvements Safeguarding San Lorenzo Valley replacing pipeline infrastructure, controls and storage tanks. The Blue Ridge Tank quickly went into service, full and providing water to the local community.
