The Sandis Oakland team had only just cooled down from the sizzling August barbeque and cornhole tournament when Brian called for a Round 2! “Alright,” thought the players, “it’s time to redeem myself.” Those who didn’t dare trek into this heated comeback season came to the table with their own mic-drop: potluck plates and treats worthy of their own spotlight. As bean bags sunk into cornhole boards, chocolate snowball cookies, turkey meatballs, and seafood fried rice sunk into happy bellies. Nonetheless, the pressure was on for our competitors with an intensely focused audience gathered closer this time around.
The sport of cornhole draws out amusing gestures from its competitors, as can be seen below.
The field began with 11 teams and after hundreds of tosses, only 1 was left standing. Although Nate from last season’s winning pair held on fiercely in the semi-finals, Ed and Francisco simply showed no mercy! They proudly laid claim to their well-deserved prizes, including a gleaming trophy and 1st place on the leaderboard. With all the cheers and awesome sportsmanship, it’s evident we never forget to have some fun, especially when accompanied with delicious bites and refreshing Sandis brews. Sit tight for the next season of cornhole tournaments!
