The Oakland office came ready to kick off August right with a barbeque and cornhole tournament. Ten teams tussled in single-elimination games to climb the competitive leaderboard while onlookers cheered and sipped on Sandis Brews. The snacking was endless, as people eagerly awaited Brendan’s curry-marinated skewers. All afternoon, bean bags flew back and forth. Once fired up, players started scoring impressive, clean shots. There were the occasional light-hearted groans, too, of course (“It’s just my warm-up!”).
Each contestant had their own unique throwing technique. But none other could reign over Nate and Gus’s, who tossed their way to 1st place and a shiny trophy for each winner. Although only two could rule the leaderboard, great sportsmanship and fun was in the air for everyone around. We look forward to the next cornhole tournament! Who will take the crown then?
