Throughout these difficult times, the most comforting thing has been our ability to lean on our friends, coworkers, and family. Even while quarantined at home, knowing that we are all undergoing these new experiences of living and working from home indefinitely brings us closer than distancing allows.
Sandis has been working diligently to keep things as normal as possible. While we were away, life kept on moving– a Sandis team member got married, people got promoted, pets were adopted, and many, many projects were started and completed.
Some of our project highlights are: San Lorenzo Valley Water District CZU Lighting Fires Damage Assessment Report and On-Call Services, Newpark Mall Civil Engineering, Mount Hamilton Lick Observatory Civil Engineering. We have begun our pilot program for aerial mapping, expanded our utility locating services, and unveiled our new brand!
As the pandemic permeated our lives, and morale was low we were not sure what a work-from-home life would look like. We worried about isolation, but Sandis transformed our company culture to be more inclusive and connected than ever before. By April, Sandis was having lively Zoom meetings, costume contests, prank newsletters, and promotions (those were real). New challenges and new viewpoints are the recipes for innovation. We at Sandis have always prided ourselves on the ability to adapt and to overcome, whether that be difficult projects, sudden plan changes, or figuring out our work from home set-ups.
Working hard has never been a problem at Sandis, and our employees continue to stay focused and dedicated to our mission of building a better future for all. We take pride in what we build!
